Who we are
SimpleGrants.ai was created by Zero Draft AI, a Toronto-based team of engineers, accountants, and grant consultants who’ve spent years helping companies unlock government funding.
We come from different backgrounds — software, finance, and compliance — but we share one frustration: the grant process is complex, inconsistent, and time-consuming.
So, we decided to fix it.
We set out on a mission 2 years ago to automate Canadian R&D Tax Credits where we achieved an industry breakthrough result – a 90% reduction in work through AI automation. We knew after this goal we have to set our horizons wider.
We believe technology can remove the friction between innovators and the public programs designed to support them. Our work blends automation with real expertise to make funding more accessible, transparent, and fair.
We grew increasingly frustrated by the lack of transparency in information. Almost every other technology company in this industry forces you to pay money or signup before using the tool.
We disagree with this ideology.
Grants should be easy to find without any sort of paywall or obligation. All the information is online, we simply made it accessible.
